The House of Hope Foundation was created with a single vision in mind: to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children in Kenya. Our current project—The Lord’s House of Hope Orphanage—in Nairobi, Kenya, is a materialization of this vision and one which continues to grow through the involvement of volunteers and donors from across the globe.

The Lord’s House of Hope orphanage serves as a home for up to 40 orphans from one of the world’s largest slums—Kibera—in Kenya. With access to a loving and supportive environment, a healthy diet, medical care and education, the children in the orphanage are given each and every possible opportunity to succeed and live a life that would otherwise be impossible for them to attain.

Mission

Our mission is to provide a home that offers spirit-focused care, where children can have hope, feel safe and loved, and are nurtured to love others.

Vision

The vision of the Lord’s House of Hope is to provide our children with the opportunity to someday venture out into the world and chase their dreams.  At the Lord’s House of Hope, children will receive education, shelter, nutritious meals, healthcare, opportunities for fellowship and friendship, guidance, and a home-like environment that promotes personal growth and wellbeing.

Purpose

The Lord’s House of Hope is guided by:

Isaiah 41:31~

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Matthew 25:35-36~

”I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you received me in your homes, naked and clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me, in prison and you visited me.”

Matthew 18:5~

“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me.”
